38. A Bouncing Baby Boy

The next morning, Laila was up making pancakes
 for everyone, as usual.

Laila and Carl had an early appointment at the hospital
 to get to so they were up first and had to eat quickly.

Laila drove to the hospital, to prove to Carl that she was still 
capable of doing things.

They headed inside and went to the waiting room.

They came outside with positive test results and were very excited. 
So they decided to go to the book store to get 
some baby books and pregancy books.

As usual with the Radford boys, Carl wouldn't let Laila 
do anything while pregnant.So over the next few weeks, Laila just 
watched and taught Carl to how to do things such
 as cook, and do the washing. "Okay now put in the
 eggs and mix it again." Laila said patiently.

While doing breakfast one morning the washing machine broke 
so Sean had to come fix it.

Laila and everyone else had to gulp down the pancakes quickly 
so that they could get to the Halloween festival on time.

The park the festival was in was magnificent. The old movie props
 made it look like an old torn down building complete with 
graves giving it an even more spooky effect.

Izzy, Nigel, Carl and Sean decided to do an apple 
bobbing contest, while Laila and Kaylee cheered on.

"On your marks, get set, GO!" Kaylee yelled. Everyone
 playing became very competitive very quickly.

"GO CARL!" Laila cheered

"Woo I won!" Izzy exclaimed. " Let's go check out that 
haunted house." Said Laila. 

So in they went. Of course no one believed in ghosts any more
 but it was still a fun experience

"Pie eating contest now. You can't use
 your hands. Ready Set GO!" Laila squeeled



"Too much pie!" Nigel exclaimed after tacking his first few bites.

Poor Nigel, looks like pie doesn't agree with him

Alida got lonely and came down to the festival , so Kaylee 
decided to ride her around  for a little bit.



Nigel had to go to work so he left early.

Later that day while Carl was lining up to get some pies for 
Laila and himself, Laila went into labour.
 "CARL!" she screamed "THE BABY'S COMING!".



Carl jumped out of the que and helped Laila into the car. 
"Just take nice, slow, deep breaths and we'll be at the
 hospital soon." Carl said the entire way.

Carl still had pie all over his face and that sight 
helped to keep Laila calm

They eventually made it to the hospital.

Soon everyone was home and waiting anxiously for 
the return of Laila and Carl and excited to meet the new arrival.

Laila soon came home carrying her
 brand new baby boy, 
Hamish Radford.

She placed him in his already prepared crib.

Then Laila and Carl went to bed dreaming about
 the journey they just embarked on.

It wasn't long before little Hamish started crying for his mummy.

Laila was up quick as a flash rocking with him.

The next morning Carl went in to check on his son and saw
 Laila asleep in the rocking chair.

"Did you keep mummy up all night?" he said quietly

Before deciding to give him some breakfast.

"Hey Grandma, would you mind looking after Hamish for a
 minute, Laila is exhausted" Carl said

"Sure Carl, I'd be happy to. And I know what you mean about Laila. 
You guys are in for a few sleepless nights." Kaylee said.

"Thanks Grandma" Carl said as he handed her Hamish
 and headed off to wake up Laila.

"Sweety, time to get up." Carl said softly. Laila jumped 
with a start "What time is it?" She mumbled. "9:00. Don't worry
 grandma has Hamish so you can rest a bit today." Carl replied

"You need a break, so why don't you go ride
 Alida for awhile" He continued.

"That sounds like a good idea."  Laila said after arguing that she 
was okay and could take care of Hamish.

Kaylee was having a lot of fun playing with Hamish she loved 
seeing a baby in the house

I'm not sure whether Laila is worried
 about riding or about leaving Hamish?

Hamish was in more than good hands.

Around midday Carl came out with Hamish

"WHAA!!!" Hamish cried

Laila immediately jumped of Alida and went to him

"Shhh, there we go mummy's here" Laila cooed and
Hamish stopped screaming

"I don't know how you do it Laila" Car said in awe
 "he just wouldn't stop crying"

"Maybe he just wanted his mum? Laila teased before
 they headed inside

It wasn't long before night fell again over the Radford house

I never take pictures of Zeke anymore so here
we are, he is getting old

Laila really does enjoy cooking

Pancakes all round, always a big hit

Sadly the stupid dishwasher keeps breaking
 time for an upgrade i think

Time flies doesn't it so happy birthday to little Hamish

Look at little Hamish, just like his father. not that i am
complaining but i really would like to see some variety in the kids

Message From Me

ok i know i keep saying i will post more and..... then i don't. please don't hate me i am just getting really sick of having to shrink every single image. as i never seem to find the time/ inspiration to write anymore i am tag teaming up with my little sister and she helps to write somethings - like this post - then i edit so if it sounds a bit weird that is why. on another note i plan on Laila having a little girl soon and i want names otherwise i kid you not she will be named Elsa because i love the name and Frozen so let me know what you think in the comments.
