35. Kaylee's Gift

Laila was loving the kitchen and enjoyed creating
 culinary delights for the whole family to enjoy

Isabella always had something to say about Laila's cooking and
 was becoming her best taste tester.
"So Izzy, what is the verdict today?" Laila asked cheekily

"Delicious, as per usual. i still wonder how you make
such amazing food. I swear you have a gift Laila, a gift."
 Isabella exclaimed "Oh, well of to work. chat to you later."

With that Isabella headed off to work, she was
enjoying working at the salon

Another customer, desperate for a new look

Sadly, All she wanted was a new hair colour

It still turned out alright, but Issy wanted to do more.

Back home, Carl and Laila were deep
 in wedding plan discussions

"I don't really need anything to big Carl, its not like my
 family are going to turn up" She said quietly

"We are your family Laila and we will be there.
However i am not against a smaller wedding, we don't
 need half the town their." Carl replied

"I definitely agree, something small is fine." She returned

After his discussion upstairs, Carl had something
planned for his grandma and went to get the help
of Grandpa Sean. 

"I can do that no problem, we will be back
 in a few hours" Sean said

With that Sean convinced his wife to go on a nice
 afternoon out with him. conveniently...

Carl quickly got his own plan into action

This looks like a great place to start...
what have you got planned Carl

It was dark by the time Kaylee and Sean returned home
and Carl made a beeline for his grandma

"I know its late but could i get your opinion on a new project
a started today?" Carl said "It would help alot."

Kaylee, being Kaylee of course agreed
 wholeheartedly and followed her grandson outside.

Waiting in the yard was a beautiful mare, in a wooden enclosure

She ran straight up to the amazing animal and began
to stroke her mane

Poor Kaylee was lost for words. 

She turned to her Grandson and gave him the biggest hug,
 "Did you do this for me?" She asked with tears in her eyes

"I know how much you always wanted a horse since you left home and
there is so much space around here so i organized it
with the council. Alida has the whole area to roam around in,
so long as she stays out of trouble." Carl explained

"Alida, a beautiful name for a beautiful mare,
this is the greatest thing anyone has ever
done for me" Kaylee exclaimed "Thank you"

"You are very welcome, you will need to show us
all how to ride now. I have heard some interesting
 stories from mum about you riding bareback around a farm
in your pajama's" Carl said teasingly

"Well, it has been a long while since i could do that and your
 mother has a tendency to exaggerate. Sadly i shall have to wait
 till morning" Kaylee said regretfully as she and Carl
began to head back inside

Kaylee had no trouble falling asleep that night, she
dreamed of again riding with the wind in her hair.
reliving her days at the farm.

First thing in the morning, Alida was trotting around the yard.
etting to know her new surroundings

Kaylee was also up nice and early,
brushing her coat and cleaning her hooves.

Jovan headed off to school and began to have
 some in depth conversations with his bus driver
 who claims he saw Jovan flying around in a UFO last night.

The rest of the family were enjoying a
nice swim in the pool on such a hot day.

Carl seems to enjoy Alida's company as well

After getting her all saddled up Kaylee climbed onto Alida

It has been a long while since Kaylee had
 been riding and she was a little rusty

Just like Carl had said there was a huge
area behind the house for Alida to roam

It wasn't to long before her riding came back to her

For some reason this stupid paparazzi wont leave my house
 and barely leaves the pool. its getting really annoying

Kaylee came back for Alida to have something to eat and to rest.

Before she dismounted and allowed Alida to
have some free reign

She is such a beautiful horse.

After watching Kaylee ride Carl and Laila
 headed out to search for a wedding venue

They decided that the Radford Festivity hall was the
perfect place however there were several different places
 for the wedding to be held

There was a beautiful indoor setting, with a large room and statues

Carl inspected this room and found it to be
very large for just a simple wedding

Laila ventured outside and found a beautiful outdoor
 setting with a beautiful view of the hills

This was it - this was perfect

Carl joined his wife to be quickly

"Carl this is it, it is beautiful, simple and yet breathtaking"
 Laila exclaimed "What do you think"

"Great, that was a quick search i
shall organize it immediately" Carl said

"Thank you" Laila said giving him a big hug.

Back home Isabella was having a lovely chat with her mother
"So mum, how do you like Alida.
I saw you riding her all morning" She asked

"She is beautiful" She paused "I just had a though"
Kaylee said "Why don't you ride her?" 

"Umm... i don't know Mum, riding is
not my strongest point" Isabella backtracked

"Well you will never know till you try" Kaylee said with a cheeky grin
Looks like Isabella had no choice.

So Isabella saddled up Alida ready to go

With some diffuculty Isabella climbed
 on top of Alida. She is such a patient horse

Isabella doesn't do to well with heights

After a very quick lap of the yard Isabella clambered off

"I think i will leave the riding with you mum" Isabella said shaken

"Alright then, but i think you should try it
again sometime" Kaylee joked before leading the both of them inside

After Carl and Laila got home Jovan
 filled Carl in on his bus drivers wild theories.

Isabella had another plan for Laila and
cornered her before she entered the kitchen

"So, i was thinking since you are getting married to my son
soon i figured you and i should do something together. I was hoping
 i would be able to help you get ready and maybe
give you a little makeover. It is my job isn't it?"
 Isabella said sweetly "It would mean the world to me"

"Well umm, i would love that" Laila said she
didn't really get a choice.  With that everyone headed off to bed

Since Jovan doesn't need to sleep i decided i would give
 him something to do so i got him the chemistry table to
muck around on whilst everyone is sleeping

Message from Me

Firstly i must sincerely apologize for my lack of well... everything. I have been really lazy and don't really have an excuse. I will most likely get Laila and Carl married next post which will probably be in the next few days to make up for my inactivity. Keep those names coming but maybe limit it to only one boy name and one girl name - they can't have to many kids, Another point Kaylee and Sean are getting rather old and may pass away in the next few posts just thought i might give you all a heads up.
