43. Life and Death

Laila woke early the next morning to a jolt in her belly; she 
was pregnant again.

Elsa started crying..

And like the superdad he is
Carl was in there tending to her in a flash.

"Calm down it's ok now Elsa" He
cooed, Elsa didn't like being left alone

"Now how about you be a good little girl and get some sleep."

Isn't it just the cutest thing to see him kiss her forehead.

"Hey Carl, I have some news. I, I'm pregnant." she said when
she ran into Carl in the kitchen.

"Laila, that's amazing news!"

"We're going to have another baby!"

Then my game glitched and Alida started wandering around the
house.

Laila soon set to work making a big batch of waffles for
everybody.

The news was welcome after the sudden death of Kaylee, 
it gave the family joy and hope that things would get better

Ah, your paid to clean the house, not to get autographs

The shower broke and since Mr Fix-it isn't around to you
know, fix it, Carl had to take on his grandfathers role

Hamish climbed into his igloo for what was probably
 the last time.

As you can tell, the snow is starting to melt and 
spring is starting.

"Now what am i supposed to do" Hamish complained

Suddenly he heard the horn of the school bus and 
dashed outside to catch it

Laila and Carl had scheduled an appointment at the hospital
to check on the baby, so Laila asked Issy to look after Elsa
for a while.

"I'd be happy to help out Laila."

Even though Issy hadn't exactly enjoyed Carl's baby years, she
quite liked playing with Elsa and teaching her to talk, 
They bonded on a girl to girl level.

Laila had been worried this time around, she seemed to be
 getting a lot more tired this time, however the doctor 
assured her that all would be well and as far as he could
 tell everything was perfectly fine

"Say party Elsa"
"Par-y"
"Good job"

"Thanks for looking after Elsa for me Issy."

"It was no problem, she was an angel"

"You are talking about my Elsa, right" Laila joked

I will be happy when Elsa grows up and Hamish
can have a friend to talk to that isn't a horse

My camera zoomed over to Zeke which could
 only mean one thing

It appears that Grim now practically lives with the Radfords

"Who's a good boy" he cooed

His death although sudden wasn't unexpected
he was due to die ages ago

Good-bye Zeke

"Why can't this family leave me alone" he screamed
getting annoyed at more of Hamish's persistent questions

Everytime without fail he needs to get an autograph

Zeke was buried out in the yard along with Kaylee and Sean

That night Carl woke up was a start which could
only mean one thing

Despite the agonizing pain of labor Laila still found
the time to make the bed

"Ahhh" She screamed "Carl Get the Car"

It wasn't long before they were both headed to the hospital

Elsa woke up to all the commotion and Issy tended to
her until her parents would return
