Founders Flashback - Part 3

Years had past since we last visited the Radfords

Everyone was getting on in years, the girls were in their late teens
and their parents were well into their elder stage

Kaylee spent the majority of her days on the back of Angelo
Riding around the farm

Life was going on as normal, the crops still needed
tending and harvesting no matter what time had passed

Most days the harvesting was left to mum and dad

Whilst Kaylee was with the horses, Sophie would spend time
with their new dog, Max

It was on this day when Amanda received a phone call

"Irene, i think i know an Irene" Amanda answered

"Yes i do, She found my daughter"

"What's happened"

"Oh my, ok then we will be there thank you for calling"

"Kaylee, can you please come here" Amanda called 

"Whats up mum" Kaylee asked innocently

"I have some bad news, Irene Jefferson passed away a few
 days ago" Amanda said "I'm so sorry Kaylee"

Kaylee just embraced her mum and cried

"It's natural to feel sad Kaylee" Amanda comforted

"If you like we can go to her funeral, so you can say a
proper goodbye" Amanda suggested

"Thanks mum" Kaylee said

Kaylee went back to Angelo, finding comfort in his caring eyes.

The Radford's attended the Funeral a few days later

"Would anyone like to say a few words about Ms
 Jefferson" This very emotion man said after the service

"I will" Sophie said as she stood forward
"I never really knew you Ms Jefferson but your the reason that
i have an amazing sister and friend for life,  i hope you have
 gone to a better place" 

Mrs Radford went next
"Thank you Ms Jefferson, you have blessed my family in so many
ways that you probably never knew,  May you rest in peace"

Poor Kaylee just cried through the whole ceremony

only after everyone had left Kaylee was able to spend
some time alone with the woman who found her

As a token, she collected some flowers from the nearby bushes

And placed them by her grave

"I don't think i ever really thanked you for what you did all
 those years ago" Kaylee said in between sobs
 "but i just wan't you to know that i am truly grateful for the life
your actions have allowed me to live"

Before going home Kaylee stopped in at Irene's old home

Her Furniture had all been moved, ready
for some new owners to move in

Back home, Mrs Radford was waiting for Kaylee

Mr Radford soon joined her

"Your getting tired honey, you go inside and i'll
wait for her, ok? Mr Radford told his wife

It wasn't long before Kaylee was running up the driveway

She ran straight into her fathers arms and sobbed

"Come on Kaylee lets go inside and i'll get you
 something to eat" Mr Radford said

So Kaylee followed her father into the house and the sun set once again

More time had passed on the Radfords farm and Sophie was now a
young adult ready to tackle the world
"Goodbye mum i will miss you" Sophie said

"Take care of mum, dad she might not say so
 but i know her life bar is getting full 

"I promise Sophie" her dad said with tears in his eyes.
its hard to see his first born leaving the home

"Goodbye Kaylee, make sure you come visit
 me once you age up to" Sophie said

"Its a promise" Kaylee said

and with that Sophie jumped in a cab...

and drove off
