Radford Legacy: Founders Flashback Part 1.

We start with a young toddler sitting on the side of a road,
All alone...

After a while a white car appeared over the horizon

"Whats that?" The old lady muttered to herself
as she got closer she saw the little girl and immediately pulled over.

She ran over and picked up the child

"Anyone here" She called out. but no one responded

"are you here all alone little one?"

The lady waited by the "Welcome to Appaloosa Plains" sign for
someone to come looking.
She waited

And waited.

"i guess no-one's coming" she said tickling the little girl

She had waited hours so she decided to call
the Appaloosa Plains Orphanage

"Hello" the lady at the orphanage said
"Yes i found a young girl by the "Welcome to Appaloosa sign,
there is no one here" the old lady answered
"ok we will send someone down to collect you" The orphanage
said and they hung up

Here they come

She pulled over and got out

"Hi, I'm Miranda," she said
"i'm Irene" the old Lady said "and this is the little girl i found"

"come with me and we will take her to the orphanage and
see if we can find her parents" Miranda said

They got in the car and drove to the Orphanage

Welcome to Appaloosa Plains Orphanage

"Don't worry we will take good care of her" Miranda comforted Irene
as she was sad to see the little girl go

"Come on little one you must be hungry" Miranda said to her

She put her in the highchair and gave her some food

What a naughty little girl, she threw the bowl and
its contents onto the floor

I don't think she likes Miranda to much

Miranda put her to bed and she fell straight to sleep

The next morning Miranda was busy getting the other
orphans ready or school

And off to school they went

Whilst the big kids were at school Miranda took their mystery child to
City hall to see if anyone was looking for her, or at
the very least she had a name

They walked in and Miranda spoke to the police as
well as looked in the city's databases

She was in there for hours

When she came out she knew as much as before
Nothing...

"looks like your a mystery child, maybe that's what we
should call you, Mystery"

They went home and the little mystery girl screamed for food

"please don't throw it on the ground this time" Miranda pleaded

Looks like she was co-operative this time

after tea Miranda took their little Mystery to meet the other orphans

The older one, Sam, wasn't as interested in a new arrival

However the two younger kids, Katie and Sarah were very excited

Sarah even played peek-a-boo with her

however little Mystery loved to play with the orphanage's kitten,
she seems to have a love of animals

Meanwhile

News of the little Mystery girl had spread right through appaloosa and its neighboring

towns

The news even reached the Radfords, who were living in a small
farming community north of Appaloosa Plains

When Amanda Radford read the paper as she always did she saw
that there was something big for them to report on

A poor Nameless child all alone, Mrs Radford would not have it.

She called her husband in and showed him the paper

"Please honey, can we help this poor child out give her a home and
a life with us. an orphanage is no place for a young girl to grow
up strong and tall. plus it will give little Sophie a playmate and sister"
Mrs Radford pleaded with her husband

"Sure Honey if you feel that this is what you want to
do than i will back you all the way"

"Bedtime now Sophie, we are going to see your new
sister tomorrow" Mrs Radford cooed her daughter

They left early that morning and arrived in Appaloosa Plains that night.
they headed straight for the orphanage and were invited inside

"Hello, thanks for seeing us on such short notice. We want to invite
the young toddler into our family. we want to adopt
her." Mrs Radford explained

"We understand completely that if her biological parents are found
that we will give her to them, we just want to give her a good home."
Mrs Radford understood the implications of adopting a mystery
child and explained that fact to Miranda

"Mrs Radford i am glad that you want to adopt her, however there
is much paper work to be done. if you like i will fill it all out and
bring her to your house in a few days, you will also need to give
her a name if you are adopting her" Miranda explained
